There is a reason Austin is known as “The Human Capital”. Expansion Management Magazine ranked the Austin-Round Rock MSA second this year for top schools in its size. The rankings were determined by using the 2006 Education Quotient data and weighing each district’s scores according to its total enrollment as a percentage of the metro-wide total student enrollment. The Austin Chamber of Commerce is working with academic institutions, policy makers and businesses to improve student math, science and technology preparation, increase college readiness and transition for student and adult population and strengthen Central Texas school districts through school finance formula changes.
